Lack of inspiration for floral wedding decorations? 5 ideas for DIY decorations made with jars and cans in a rustic style

Colorland will help you once again and present 5 inspirational ideas on how to use jars and cans to create unique flower vases which will please your eyes for a long time. Inspiration #1
What do you need?
- a jar with a clasp lid
- some jute (linen strip), available at florist's
- some lace
- a ribbon
- a random size clip on which you can write with a chalk
- a piece of chalk
- hot glue
How to do it?
1. Prepare a jug – if you wash it, remember to dry it properly.
2. Cut off a proper length linen strip and adjust it to the jar.
3. Stick the strip to the jar using hot glue. Tie a ribbon and make a nice bow.
4. Put something on a mini board (we've chosen #love ) and pin it to the clip of the jar.
5. Pour some water and put flowers inside and it's ready!
Inspiration #2
What do you need?
- a can
- some jute (linen strip)
- paper scrap booking rosettes
- a ribbon
- a piece of jute string
- hot glue
How to do it?
1. Prepare a can – wash it and take off the label.
2. Cut off a proper length linen strip and adjust it to the jar.
3. Stick the strip to the jar using hot glue. Tie a ribbon and make a nice bow.
4 Add some paper rosettes
5. Pour some water and put some flowers into the can and it's ready!
Inspiration #3
What do you need?
- a can
- some jute string
- decorative netting which you can buy at florist’s
- a ribbon in two different colours
- hot glue
How to do it?
1. Prepare a can – wash it, remove the label and dry it.
2. Cut off a proper length netting and stick it to the can using hot glue. Be careful and try not to use too much of it.
3. Use some jute string to tie upper and lower parts of the can. You can use some hot glue in order to make it more stable.
4. Tie a ribbon and make a nice bow.
5. Pour some water and put some flowers into the can and it's ready!
Inspiration #4
What do you need?
- a jar
- some lace (about 3cm wide)
- decorative netting which you can buy at florist’s
- jute string
- hot glue
How to do it?
1 Prepare a jug – if you wash it first, remember to dry it properly.
2. Cut off some proper length netting and stick it to the jar using hot glue. Remember to make some pleats to make the netting look like a frill
3. Stick the lace above the frill.
4. Tie the jar with a jute string using some glue from time to time. Make a nice bow and stick it to the string.
5. Pour some water and put some flowers into the can and it's ready!
Inspiration #5
What do you need?
- a bottle
- jute (linen strip) available at florist’s and shops offering rustic style products
- raphia
- jute string
- decorative wooden clips (we’ve chosen decorative birds)
- hot glue
How to do it?
1. Prepare a glass bottle – if you wash it, remember to dry it properly.
2. Cut off jute and stick it to the bottle using hot glue.
3. Use decorative raphia to tie the bottle and make a bow around it.
4. Pin the decorative birds to the raphia or the string.
5. Pour some water and put flowers inside (or only one flower with a long stem) and it’s ready!
